Tiverton Land Trust
A little break from the usual food post, a nice little adventure in Tiverton RI. I drive past this land trust often, and slow down to enjoy the view of the open expanse of land. The well preserved area is part of the Tiverton Land Trust, this section called Pardon Gray. There are forests and neighboring lands owned by the town of Tiverton where the trails lead. In the forest is one of the last standing American Holly Forests.
I love the late summer fields, where the contrast between the green grass and the burnt grass becomes a beautiful tone that is exemplary of late August or early September. Queen's Ann's lace and other wildflowers dot the landscape.
