A Welcome Message

After contemplating a blog for a while, wondering what 'hook line and sinker' was going to draw readers in, I realized, that a blog is about conversation. Who said conversation had to be about just one topic. 

The name of this blog is Summerfield Delight, giving personal significance to my family heritage (and my middle name) as well as a play on Summer Delight, the feeling of spontaneity and calm that a summer road trip can bring. I try to eat local, grow plants in my tiny apartment and live on a budget that allows for fun supplies to be creative.  

A caffeine addict, warm weather lover (went to school in Texas), born and bred Rhode Islander I hope to bring a fun voice into the 'blog-o-sphere'. Welcome!
